Kukës

Kukës, one of the smaller district capitals of Albania, is a city that boasts a striking setting amidst the Albanian Alps. This northern Albanian city, the capital of its county, stretches over 8.2 square kilometres, offering a blend of rugged natural landscapes and a tranquil urban atmosphere.

The city’s history extends over a thousand years, rooted in the time of the Illyrian tribes, particularly the Dardani, and the region’s role as a waypoint on a branch of the historic Via Egnatia trade route.
