This Privacy Policy outlines how the Company and its affiliates (“we,” “us,” or “our”) process personal information in relation to your use of our Platform. Depending on your location and how you interact with our Platform, additional privacy terms may apply to you. This Privacy Policy may be available in several languages. The only version to be referred to is the English (UK) version. Other languages may be provided for convenience only. By using the Platform, you explicitly agree to this provision.


Undefined terms in this Privacy Policy have the same definitions as in our Terms of Service (“Terms”).

Information We Collect

We collect personal information about you when you use our Platform. Without this information, we may not be able to provide all requested services. This information includes:

Contact, Account, and Profile Information: Such as your first name, last name, phone number, postal address, email address, date of birth, and profile photo, some of which will depend on the features you use.

Identity Verification and Payment Information: Such as images of your government-issued ID (as permitted by applicable laws), your ID number or other verification information, and bank account or payment account information. If a copy of your ID is provided to us, we may scan, use, and store information contained in your ID to verify your identity and for security purposes.

Additional information

You can choose to provide us with additional personal information. This information may include:

Additional Profile Information: Such as gender, preferred language(s), city, and personal description. Some of this information, as indicated in your account settings, is part of your public profile page and will be publicly visible.

Information About Others: Such as a payment instrument belonging to another person. By providing us with personal information about others, you certify that you have permission to provide that information for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

Other Information: Such as when you fill in a form, add information to your account, respond to surveys, post to community forums, participate in promotions, communicate with Support and other users, or share your experience with us. You understand that conversations including personal information, including but not limited to your tax situation, may be stored on our Platform.

Information Automatically Collected by Using the Platform

When you use our Platform, we automatically collect personal and other information. This information may include:

Geolocation Information: Such as precise or approximate location determined from your IP address, mobile or other device’s GPS, or other information you share with us, depending on your device settings.

Usage Information: Such as the pages or content you view, searches you make, and other actions on the Platform.

Log Data and Device Information: Such as details about how you’ve used the Platform, IP address, access dates and times, hardware and software information, device information, unique identifiers, crash data, and the pages you’ve viewed or engaged with before or after using the Platform. We may collect this information even if you haven’t created an account or logged in.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

Payment Transaction Information: Such as payment method used, date and time, payment amount, payment method expiration date and billing postcode, and other related transaction details.

Information Collected From Third Parties

We collect personal information from other sources, such as:

Third-Party Services: If you link, connect, or log in to our Platform with a third-party service (e.g., Google, Facebook), you direct the service to send us information such as your registration and profile information as controlled by that service or as authorized by you via your privacy settings at that service.

Experts and Account Management: Experts that have access to our Platform may submit personal information to facilitate account management and to manage their relationship with you as mediated by this Platform.

Referrals: If you are invited to use our Platform, the person who invited you can submit personal information about you such as your email address or other contact information.

Only the advice of a qualified Expert should be relied upon. Magic Towns is held indemnified for any errors and omissions either in the Content available on the Platform or provided by Magic AI.

How We Use Collected Information

We use personal information as outlined in this Privacy Policy for various purposes to provide and improve our services.

Provide, Improve, and Develop the Platform

We may process this information to:

  • Enable you to access the Platform and make and receive payments
  • Enable you to communicate with other Users and Experts
  • Process your request for information or services
  • Perform analytics, debugging, and conduct research
  • Provide customer service training
  • Send you messages, updates, security alerts, and account notifications
  • Process, handle, or assess insurance or other claims
  • Personalize and customize your experience based on your interactions with the Platform, your search and consultation history, your profile information and preferences, and other content you submit
  • Provide summaries of your consultations to you and to any Experts you are working with

If you provide us with your contacts’ information, we may process this information to:

  • Facilitate your referral invitations
  • Facilitate your requests or for any other purpose you authorize
  • Comply With Legal Obligations
  • We may process this information to:
  • Comply with our legal obligations if and when directed to by Government entities
  • Resolve disputes with our Users, including sharing information about disputes related to your interactions with Experts
  • Comply with law, respond to legal requests, prevent harm, and protect our rights
  • Enforce our Terms and other policies

In limited cases, automated processes could restrict or suspend your access to the Platform if such processes detect activity that may pose a safety or other risk to the Company, our community, or third parties.

Provide, Personalize, Measure, and Improve our Advertising and Marketing

We may process this information to:

  • Send you promotional messages, marketing, advertising, and other information based on your preferences
  • Personalize, measure, and improve our advertising
  • Administer referral programs, rewards, surveys, sweepstakes, contests, or other promotional activities or events
  • Analyze characteristics and preferences to send you promotional messages, marketing, advertising, and other information that we think might be of interest to you
  • Invite you to events and relevant opportunities

We may review, scan, or analyze your communications on the Platform for reasons outlined in the “How We Use Information We Collect” section of this policy. This includes:

We use automated methods where possible. In some cases, manual review of communications may be necessary for fraud investigations and customer support. We will not review, scan, or analyze your messaging communications to send third-party marketing messages to you. We may also share your communications as set out in the “Sharing & Disclosure” section.

Linking Third-Party Accounts

You can link your account with certain third-party services. When you direct the data sharing by creating this link:

  • Some of the information may be published on your public profile
  • Other Users may be able to see any common contacts or groups
  • Information you provide through this linkage may be stored, processed, and transmitted for fraud prevention, security investigations, and risk assessment

Provide Payment Services

Personal information is used to enable or authorize third parties to use Payment Services, such as to:

  • Detect and prevent money laundering, fraud, abuse, and security incidents
  • Comply with legal and compliance obligations
  • Enforce the Payment Terms and other payment policies
  • Provide and improve Payment Services
  • Sharing Your Information
  • Sharing With Your Consent or at Your Direction

Where you provide consent, we share your information as described at the time of consent. This could be when you’re authorizing a third-party application to access your account or when you’re participating in promotional activities by our partners or third parties.

Where permissible under applicable law, we may use certain anonymous information about you, such as your email address, to generate leads, drive traffic to the Platform, or otherwise promote our products and services.

Sharing Between Users

To help facilitate consultations or other interactions between Users (who may be located in jurisdictions with varying levels of data protection), we may share information in the following situations:

Between Clients and Experts:

When a consultation request is made, or a dispute arises, certain information such as profile, name, dispute outcome, and other information you choose to share will be available.

Once a consultation is confirmed, additional information such as your profile photo and contact details is shared to assist with coordinating the consultation.

Expert-to-Expert Communication:

When you accept an invitation to collaborate with another Expert, you authorize those other Experts to access your information. This may include your full name, contact details, calendar, and email address, as well as information from previous consultations.

Experts Service Providers

Experts may use third-party services to help manage or deliver their services, such as appointment scheduling software or virtual meeting platforms. Experts may use features on the Platform to share information about the Client (like consultation time, Client name, Client phone number) with such third-party service providers.

Windup of Operations and Business Transfers

If the Company is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or insolvency event, then we may sell, transfer, or share some or all of our assets, including your information, in connection with such transaction or in contemplation of such transaction (e.g., due diligence). In this event, we will notify you before your personal information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Third-Party Partners & Integrations

The Platform may link to third-party services. The Company does not own or control these third parties. When you interact with these third parties and choose to use their service, you are providing your information to them. Your use of these services is subject to the privacy policies of those providers.
