10 July Events Happening in Albania

Take notes, everyone! These are some of the best July events happening in Albania this year!

July’s almost here, and so is the full calendar of events happening all across Albania. From live jazz and beach festivals, cultural weeks, and even a murder mystery dinner, there’s something going on no matter what you’re into.

Some events are tucked away in castles or beaches, others right in the middle of Tirana’s streets. If you’re in town (or planning to be), this guide will help you figure out what’s worth checking out and where.

Hemingway Jazz Fest 12th-Edition

📍 Korpusi Universitar, Tirana | 20-21 July

Two nights, two dress codes, and a stellar jazz lineup!
Expect performances by Balkan Paradise Orchestra, The Original Blues Brothers, and Gabriela Mendes.

  • 21 July – Dress Code: Total White

This annual tradition brings global jazz flair to Tirana, and it’s the perfect event for all those who love this genre of music. It’s the 12th edition this year, and we’re more excited than ever to witness yet another amazing concert organised by Hemingway Tirana.

Murder Mystery Night: Murder in Broadway

📍New Bazaar, Tirana | 4 July | 20:00

Dinner, drinks, and a little drama…this night is all about solving a crime in a Broadway-style setting. You’ll be part of the story, trying to figure out who did it. (Most likely, this will be in Albanian, so it is best for locals or those who understand the language well.)

Ballet at TKOB – Cantata

📍Tirana Opera & Ballet Theatre | 1–2 July

Get ready for a world premiere night at TKOB.

  • Cantata by Mauro Bigonzetti features live music from Italy’s “Assurd” group, celebrating Southern Italian energy.
  • Walk On By by Nicola Wills dives into themes of isolation and human connection, set to original music by Adam Vincent Clarke.

Za Fest at the Iconic Rozafa Castle, Shkodër

📍Shkodër | 24–26 July

One of Albania’s most scenic festivals is back! This year’s Za Fest lineup includes:

  • Petrit Çarkaxhiu, Sahati, MC Kresha & Lyrical Son, Casadiego, and more.
    All taking place under the stars, between the historic walls of Rozafa Castle.

Cultural Weeks at the National Youth Center

📍Tirana | Egyptian Week: 8–13 July | Brazilian Week: 15–20 July

Every week, a different country is celebrated through cultural events in Albania, with themed activities organized at JKN Tirana. Expect food tastings, dance workshops, movie screenings, and lots of surprises.

Group Exhibition “Muri” – In Memory of Leon Çika

📍Edward Lear Gallery, Berat | Until 4 July

The 7th edition of this group exhibition highlights local and regional artists. This year, it pays tribute to artist Leon Çika and features thoughtful works that explore both memory and space.

Vala Fest Durrës & Vlora

MIK Festival in Korçë

📍Korçë | 10–13 July

Organized by the Albanian soprano Inva Mula, MIK Festival returns with a rich calendar of international music, local talent, and stunning performances in beautiful venues across Korçë. It’s one of the most anticipated cultural events in Albania.

Plazhi i Uçkave

📍 Uçkave Beach, Pogradec | 19 July

A throwback to lakeside summers of the past. This day-long celebration features:

  • Traditional songs from Pogradec
  • Kayak races, paddle challenges, and even fishing with your hands!
  • Local food stalls and cooking competitions
  • Documentary exhibits and stories from the lakefront

Sunset Cruise in Saranda
