That time of year when the leaves put on their best show, the weather can\u2019t decide what it wants to be, the streets are covered in warm colours, and Albania definitely looks like a postcard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s the perfect time to explore: not too hot, not too crowded, just the perfect weather (minus when it rains!), and a quieter vibe compared to summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And since it&#8217;s already October, I thought I&#8217;d share some of the best autumn destinations in Albania to consider visiting this year. The city turns golden, the air feels calm, and everything slows down in the best way possible. The forests turn shades of orange and red, the air feels crisp, and the whole place gets this peaceful, almost untouched vibe. It\u2019s perfect if you love scenic drives, hiking, or just being surrounded by nature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u00ebpush\u00eb is known for its wide valleys and views that look like they belong on a postcard. Vermosh is a quiet mountain village where you\u2019ll find traditional guesthouses, hearty local food, and warm hospitality. The drive there is scenic too, especially when the sun hits the hills and everything looks like it\u2019s glowing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the highlights here is the Queen Mother\u2019s Fountain (Kroi i N\u00ebn\u00ebs Mbret\u00ebresh\u00eb), famous for its clear, drinkable water that locals say has healing qualities. This small but lovely historical town, with significant importance in Albania&#8217;s history and culture, is one of the best destinations to visit during autumn. The valley turns into a painting of red, orange, and gold, and every step you take feels like walking through a living postcard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There&#8217;s nothing prettier than the different shades of red, orange, and yellow, creating hundreds of different patterns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The most beautiful way to get to Valbona is by taking the ferry across Komani Lake.
